Targeting the root cause of sediment removal in underground sumps, the system adopts China’s first patented underground mine drainage water treatment process, featuring the self-developed QCD scraper-type sump cleaner as the core equipment. By using a multi-stage treatment approach to pre-treat coarse particles above 325 mesh before they enter the sump, the system indirectly reduces sump workload and significantly decreases the frequency and duration of manual sump dredging. Ultimately, it enables sump cleaning only once every 5 to 10 years, fundamentally resolving the sump dredging problem.
The system adopts a deep-feed design, allowing coal slurry to flow by gravity from the feed inlet into the settling tank. The elongated tank dissipates the slurry’s horizontal kinetic energy, promoting rapid natural sedimentation. Inclined plate settling and stepped overflow technologies further enhance the settling process.
Coarse particles gradually settle at the bottom of the tank. Once the sediment reaches a predetermined thickness, it is continuously discharged by a bottom scraper conveyor using a progressive discharge mechanism and transferred onto the raw coal conveyor. Fine particles overflow through the rear overflow weir for subsequent treatment.
Applicable to underground coal mine working areas, including coal mining roadways, transportation roadways, sedimentation tanks in front of water storage chambers, main shaft conveyor belt head, machine tail, transfer points, side sedimentation tanks, above-belt areas, and main shaft hoisting openings.
